High School Teacher (All Subjects)

 

Youth Connection Leadership Academy (YCLA) is one of 22 campuses under the Youth Connection Charter School (YCCS) umbrella dedicated to reengaging students who have dropped out of high school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an instructional leader in a specific subject area
  • Plan and implement an educational program for an assigned group of students
  • Plan and implement best practice instructional programs for individual students assigned to the classroom or group, in alignment with the mission, culture and overall campus educational program
  • Develop course syllabi and plans in compliance with state learning goals and standards
  • Differentiate instruction, coursework and related projects to accommodate varied learning styles and skill levels
  • Utilize multiple models in the assessment and interpretation of student ability and progress
  • Establish and maintain communication with parents
  • Be part of an advisory team
  • Provide timely submission of grades
  • Render direct service to students, including mentoring, counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Willingness to go “above and beyond” and remain flexible
  • This is a 10-month position

 

Salary:

This is a full-time position; salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and Type 9 Certification
