Founding  Principal

Be a founding principal of a new Chicago campus of Noble Street Charter High School (noblenetwork.org). Intern in 2007-08 and open a school in fall 2008. Incredible opportunity for a driven educator to turn around the lives of Chicago youth and prepare them for college success. Principal salaries are among the best in the nation and start at $130,000. Administrative certificate is not required.

Noble Street Charter High School is results-driven, and unrelenting in preparing underserved Chicago students for college. Noble Street is well known nationally for its success and has significant financial support from major national funders to create new schools. Noble Street focuses on academic excellence, self-discipline, health and fitness, and community service to prepare students' for college and citizenship. We are looking for driven, dedicated educators to create their own schools using the Noble model.

The year-long internship will provide excellent training on the site of the existing Noble campuses. The internship will also provide ample time for teacher and student recruitment as well as curriculum development. The internship is well-paid ($92,000) and provides a complete benefit package.
