
Powerschool Systems Administrator
The University of Chicago Charter School (www.usi-schools.org) is comprised of four campuses with students in grades PreK-10. Their schools are a dynamic learning environment with innovative programs created to enhance student learning through the use of technology.
We seek a Systems Administrator to manage their Powerschool (Student Information System) implementation and data warehouse.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for performing overall administration functions for Powerschool implementation including but not limited to school set-up, working with data/reports, training school personnel and troubleshooting. The Systems Administrator will also perform extractions, cleansing data and importing data, and help define and implement new reports through the U of C Charter data warehouse.
Successful applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or information technology; 2 years experience in Powerschool administration; experience in database development and administration; demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution; excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills; and ability to work independently, (with a high degree of initiative)and/or in a team environment. In addition, individuals must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work successfully with a diverse population of students and staff; possess the ability to deal with the unexpected and successfully meet deadlines and problem-solve.
