Executive Director
The Lake County Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Chicago Community Trust, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled self-starter. The Executive Director will be charged with leading the growth of the organization. This person will lead asset development and civic engagement, as well as manage donor and board relations, grant making and oversight of the office. With $ 2.5 million in assets, The Lake County Community Foundation is in a unique position to capitalize on the growth potential of the donor population to address the increasing needs of the residents of Lake County.
The ideal candidate will possess fundraising experience, an established reputation with not-for-profit and community-based organizations, board relations skills, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and experience managing projects, budgets and people. Grant making experience highly desirable. While the Executive Director reports to a Board of Directors, this person will possess a high level of energy and initiative.

About The Lake County Community Foundation
In 2003, leaders in Lake County partnered with The Chicago Community Trust to create a permanent and endowed charitable resource that would meet the changing needs of the fast-growing county and benefit all its residents. Thus was born the Lake County Community Foundation.
Population growth in the county has exploded in recent years and with it has come a tremendous need for human services, health and education resources, environmental preservation, and other programs. The county is striving to deal with increased poverty and homelessness and to serve the needs of growing Latino and immigrant communities.
The Foundation presently focuses its grants on education, economic development, health, and the needs of the county’s most vulnerable residents.
Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience) plus generous benefit package.
