Full Description: Located on the South Side of Chicago, the Chicago International Longwood Academy campus is a partnership between EdisonLearning and Chicago International Charter School. Our mission is to ensure that every student receives a world-class education. We have high expectations that our students will reap the benefits of their dedication to learning. We are searching for a committed and motivated 9th grade Math teacher to help catapult our college bound high school students. CICS Longwood will provide a high quality education that respects, celebrates, and leverages the inherent strengths of our college aspiring students.   • Focus on maintaining and raising students' fluency in English, and also encouraging fluency in other languages;
  • Use strong instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to communicate knowledge to students in a stimulating and effective manner
  • Work as a team member, sharing common planning, professional development, curriculum design
  • Reflect about your practice and participate in on-going professional development and training to improve your practice, as well as using feedback from others to guide your personal and professional growth
  • Use data from different forms of student assessments to communicate with parents and other team members about student progress, and plan for further instruction
  • Integrate technology into your teaching and professional activities

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree required Illinois State Certification required Subject and grade proficiency required Urban experience preferred Prealgebra and Algebra Experience
