Full Description:

The EPIC Academy is a 9-12 public high school in the South Chicago community. Our mission is preparing students with the 21st Century skills needed to revolutionize society while on the path to college and career success. The communities we serve are supportive, yet have high incidences of gang activity and crime.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and executes building security coverage and hall sweep plans Acts as a liaison between school staff and law enforcement
• Contacts parents about student discipline issues
• Coordinates disciplinary meetings with parents, staff, and administration
• Oversees discipline of students
• Tracks, analyzes, and reports on school-wide disciplinary data on infractions, suspensions, and tardiness
• Creates detention schedules and runs after school detention programs
• Creates and implements school safety and emergency plans
• Manages activities related to vending machines, lockers, and keys
