Full Description:

EPIC educators deeply care about youth and are willing to do whatever it takes to build strong relationships with students. EPIC educators know that motivating hard-to-reach students is part of the work, and they display faith in all students without the need for evidence. EPIC educators enjoy planning because they know it is the foundation for executing lessons where students learn. EPIC educators believe that teaching students the skills for success is more important than content. EPIC educators focus on student growth and are willing to take responsibility for student learning. EPIC educators believe that teaching is rocket science, and they are constantly researching, using data to improve instruction, testing new ideas, troubleshooting, and refining past lessons. EPIC educators seek opportunities to collaborate because they realize the job of ensuring each child succeeds is a task accomplished by a team of believers, not one outstanding individual.
