Full Description:
- Assists in staff orientation and professional development
- Creates teacher/student class schedules
- Supports and assists in the supervision and evaluation of classroom instruction
- Coordinates Special Education programs
- Assists in the development, implementation and interpretation of personnel policies
- Develops standardized testing schedule and test preparation strategies
- Creates and monitors After-school programs
- Development of annual budget
- Approval of all bill payments
- Approval of petty cash disbursements and receipts
- Approval of employee processes i.e. new hire, time sheets, teacher coverage, check requests, etc
- Oversight of student information systems i.e. PowerSchool, admission and enrollment processes and compliance related data
- Oversight of food service operations
- Oversight of Facilities Management operations
- In accordance with Perspectives’ code of discipline and procedures, ensures and supports the fair and equitable implementation of student discipline procedures
- Assists in the development of strategies, approaches and plans for students who exhibit at-risk behaviors
- Promotes efficient and effective school/parent relations
- Oversees, and monitors Parent Program Initiatives i.e. Parent Council, Parent Volunteers, etc
- Ensures an effective flow of communication between Perspectives staff and the community
- In conjunction with the Principal, supervises all school activities and events i.e. dances, concerts, etc.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university; preferred in education related field
- Minimum 2 years in school leadership position, ie: department chair, instructional leader for grade level or core content areas
- 3 years classroom teaching experience
