Kat Ferguson-Mahan, School Supports Coordinator
Kat Ferguson-Mahan joined the INCS team as the School Supports Coordinator in February 2008. To readjust to life back in these United States after two years in the Peace Corps in Romania, Kat worked as a New Accounts Manager at Walsh Trading at the Chicago Board of Trade.
In Romania, she served as a Nonprofit Development Volunteer in Constanta on the Black Sea, primarily working with organizations that provided social services and fought for the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS. Kat was born and raised in Evanston, right outside of Chicago, but received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Tulane University in New Orleans. It was in New Orleans that she developed her love of spicy food and live music.
