
Marvin L. Smith, Advocacy Manager
Marvin joined INCS as the Advocacy Coordinator in September of 2006. He is responsible for providing INCS legislative support through policy research and assisting with community relations, logistics efforts, and supervises INCS’ high school internship program. He brings with him almost four years of experience as a supervisor in the after school program at Passages Charter School.
Prior to working at INCS, Marvin was enrolled at Loyola University Chicago, where in May he received a B.A. in Communication. In the summers between 2003 and 2005, Marvin worked at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics as a communications assistant. He hails from the Boston area of Massachusetts and is an avid New England sports fan.
