Teachers and Schools: We are working with our recruitment partners to recruit an exceptional group of teacher candidates to match with innovative schools from Illinois and Northwest Indiana. These include both charter and district public schools.

Resume Screening: To facilitate our teacher/school matchmaking, we provide school leaders with resumes from all teacher candidates prior to the job fair. School leaders have an opportunity to pre-screen resumes and set up one-on-one interviews with teachers in the afternoon session of the job fair. Electronic copies of teacher resumes will be sent to all registered schools two weeks before the Job Fair.

Job Fair Schedule: During the morning session, school leaders will be stationed at tables to “meet and greet” teachers. In the afternoon, schools will have the option of scheduling one-on-one interviews with selected teachers. Schools may either contact teachers before the job fair or ask teachers they meet in the morning to stay for afternoon interviews.

During the morning session, INCS and our recruitment partners will provide two optional workshops for teacher candidates:

Charter Schools 101 – an opportunity for teacher candidates to learn more about charter public schools and ask their most pressing questions

Job Search Skills – an opportunity for teacher candidates to learn about and practice presenting themselves in the best light to charters and other innovative public schools

8:30am: School registration and set up

9:30-12pm: Job fair meet and greet

10:45am: Workshops for teacher candidates

12-1pm: Lunch break. Lunch will be provided for school representatives and recruitment partners. Teachers are welcome to bring brown bag lunches.

1-3:30pm: Teacher interviews (by invitation only)

We look forward to seeing you on April 17!
