ReGeneration Schools is a nonprofit school management organization that’s dedicated to revitalizing failing schools through a college prep and character mission. We oversee three elementary Chicago International Charter Schools (CICS) in Chicago: CICS Avalon, CICS Basil, and CICS Washington Park. The mission of ReGeneration Schools is to ensure that all children have equal access to high quality, college preparatory education. ReGeneration currently serve over 1,600 low-income students, with over 93% of our students identifying as African-American and Hispanic. We are dedicated to closing the achievement gap because we believe the only way for our society to build a better democracy is by rebuilding America’s failing schools.

Reporting to the Director of Talent, the Associate Director of Talent plays a critical role developing and implementing national recruitment for high quality teachers, support personnel, and home office staff to join our network. This individual will work closely with school leaders and the executive leadership team to achieve our mission. This individual should have reliable transportation to attend various recruitment events locally, and able to attend national events.

Manage internal and external relationships to build pipelines.
Manage candidate relationships throughout the interview cycle.
Research and manage recruitment outreach for school network (post and maintain job listings, attend recruitment events and job fairs, advertisements, social media, college tour/informational).
Meet individual and team goals for volume and quality.
Manage communications with candidates and use TalentEd (talent management tool) to track and update application status.
Review applicant files and conduct initial screening/interviews.
Schedule and manage logistic details for interview sessions.
Assist the Director of Talent and Human Resource Manager with on boarding all employees.
Assist with all marketing initiatives for recruitment (brochures, flyers, social media, etc.).
Other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree required.
2-5 years of experience in a school or community based organization ideally in an urban setting.
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Recruiting, sales, and/or marketing experience desirable.
Self-directed, data driven, and results-oriented.
Outstanding communicator and writer; able to make the case for the importance of high-quality teachers for low-income children, and of the attractiveness of urban teaching as a career.
Outstanding professional demeanor and customer service skills.
Strong organization, follow-up, and information management skills, including Excel and talent management software proficiency.
Values diversity of thought, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Flexibility to work events on weekends.
Demonstrate ability to be self-directed and take initiative, required.
Reliable transportation for travel to campuses and recruitment events.
