QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred.
Positive interpersonal relations with students
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
Strong oral and written communication skills
3+ years’ experience in a counselor position and/or alumni services.
Travel will be required.

JOB GOAL
Provide student support to NLCP alumni with a focus on alumni visits, connection to persistence data, the alumni fund management. This position will also provide information to support SQRP information regarding college persistence.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES *perform other duties as assigned.
The first priority of the Alumni Coordinator is to ensure that students are supported in college and to make it to and through college

Track each visit and each alumni’s progress in alumni database that will identify the following areas; academics, attendance, social engagement, number of alumni in college or graduated from college, number of alumni with associates’ degrees, number of alumni in military, number of non-college bound
Build a data tracking system that shows the impact of alumni data and plan strategically to ensure we tie this investment back to improved college persistence
Work with College Coordinator to connect current student and alumni and help the transition from high school to college
Maintain Alumni Face Book page.
Meet monthly with Executive Leadership to report on alumni program
Help find summer internships, job placements, and other leadership opportunities
Help find tutors/mentors as needed
Assist with college placement and securing financial aid
Conduct quarterly alumni retreats and/or outings
Promotes and fosters effective alumni relations through continuing written communication and personal contact
Serves as a resource to alumni and others regarding alumni and University programs and activities
Maintain regular print and electronic communication with alumni to provide updates on other alumni, as well as overall initiatives
Engage in direct contact and solicitation of select alumni via face-to-face, phone, email and social media
