Position and Organization Overview
Accelerate Institute is seeking an experienced Director of Partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Partnerships (Erin Brooks), the Director of Partnerships’ primary role will be developing and executing regional recruitment campaigns and selection processes for the Growth Accelerator and supporting partnership development for the Leadership Academy. As Accelerate Institute continues to grow and expand its programming options this individual will play a critical role in developing and managing recruitment strategies, prospect outreach and communication, partnership development, and selection decisions.

In the first six months, the Director of Partnerships will help us close out our 2021-22 recruitment season for the Growth Accelerator and Leadership Academy programs and work with the VP of Partnerships to plan for and launch the 2022-23 recruitment campaigns. They will also have the opportunity to observe Accelerate Summer Institute and Leadership Academy Institute sessions, the academic foundation for all participants.

Position Responsibilities
Top priorities for the Director of Partnerships are:

-Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategy for the Chicago Growth Accelerator: Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the Chicago Growth Accelerator program with the goal of recruiting 8-12 schools (traditional district and charter) each year

-Support the Expansion of the Leadership Academy Program: Work closely with the VP of Partnerships to build brand awareness and partnership opportunities with schools, districts, and organizations across the country

-External Communication: Connect with a variety of constituents (program prospects, school/organization partners, etc.) using multiple forms of communication (written and verbal) to support program recruitment

-Oversee Accelerator Selection Process: Facilitate cross-team communication as it relates to the interview and selection process for the Accelerator; complete phone interviews; member of the Selection Committee

Required qualifications and Skills
-Minimum of 3-5 years of comprehensive recruitment experience in similar roles in the nonprofit sector; experience with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and an established professional network of CPS principals (traditional district and charter) highly preferred
-Demonstrated ability to lead the execution of a recruitment strategy that met or exceeded its objectives for an organization of comparable size
-A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; educational equity; and the mission of Accelerate Institute
-Passionate about talent work; sees a direct connection between this work and schools with high academic performance and healthy cultures for staff and students
-Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
-Highly effective communicator in both written and verbal forms; able to target messages for multiple audiences
-Proven ability to work unsupervised and solve problems independently, effectively, and creatively
-Ability to lead multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines with the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work
-Advanced knowledge of MS Office and experience working with database management (Salesforce preferred)

Salary range: $80,000-$90,000
