Cambridge Lakes Learning Center located in Pingree Grove, Illinois is looking to hire a full-time Facility and Maintenance Manager.

General

  • Must be knowledgeable on the computer be able to work in Google, Google sheets
  • Must be able to research pieces, parts, and items needed on an ongoing basis for Facilities and Maintenance
  • Must be able to supervise the Housekeeping staff
  • Must be able to maintain a rapport with the building staff
  • Must be able to prioritize each project and its importance.  Some projects will take precedence over others simply based on safety and need.  Will answer to ROE, Regional Office of Education, and the once a year inspection they require
  • Will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned
  • Adhere to the work schedule and assignments specified by level of importance and safety and by what the Building Principals may deem immediate
  • Must be flexible and able to work independently as well as part of a team, such as set ups and tear downs for events, and/or working with tech for sound and audio requirements

Performance Responsibilities

  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of basic matters pertaining to electric, plumbing, furniture, and general building projects
  • Ability to make minor drywall repairs and paint
  • Ability to perform light carpentry
  • Must be able to assess the damage and decide if an outside vendor needs to be brought in to make the repairs
  • Must be able to create, build and maintain a good rapport with vendors
  • Be able to seek out multiple bids from contractors for projects
  • Must be willing to assist custodial staff, when available,  with special projects
  • Wears school I.D. card at all times for safety
  • Reports directly to Chief Operating Officer
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1.  Ability to Manage Housekeeping Staff
  2. Ability to prioritize projects day to day
  3. Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience required
  4. Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  5. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds
  6. Ability to read blueprints.
