High School Special Education Teachers

The Special Education Teacher (LBSI) Applicant must hold active Illinois State Board of Education Educator PEL Credentials and have an IEIN # cited at:

Ideal candidates will have strong background in developing and representing Special Education Programs to include IEP’s and 504 Plans; Case Manager’s experience is desired; have strong classroom management skills; build meaningful and professional relationships with students and families; a strong understanding of best practices to ensure that students have access to resources and required accommodations that students need to meet the goals in their Individualized Education/ 504 Plans. The candidate will collect data to evaluate progress made on IEP goals; engage in ongoing collaboration between General Education teachers, Special Education Teachers, Clinicians, Para-educators and be an active member of the School Based Problem Solving Team; implement effective progress monitoring to make instructional decisions that increase student growth; support the Assessment Process and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or other school Leadership.
