Middle School Social Studies Teacher

You need to have previous teaching experience or at least been an education major in college and had a student teaching experience. Please do not apply without either of those qualifications.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong set of experiences and is committed, passionate, dedicated, and relentless about changing lives. Expertise and experience in teaching Social Studies is essential. The teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction in a blended learning environment and for monitoring scholar progress to determine instructional needs. The teacher reviews scholar progress and adapts instruction to ensure high-progress learning for every child. The teacher is responsible for establishing a strong classroom culture in collaboration with other members of the grade level team. We have a strong teacher coaching model in place and highly effective weekly professional development. In addition, the teacher will be required to complete all other professional responsibilities to ensure the success of scholars and Moving Everest Charter School. The teacher must be certified in the state of Illinois or able to be certified and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in the classroom.

Expertise and experience in teaching Social Studies is essential.

Have a passion for working with young children.

Experience

Minimum of an college degree required.
Certification preferred.
