ReGeneration Schools is a non-profit charter management organization that’s dedicated to creating successful schools through a college prep and character mission. Our mission is to ensure that all children have equal access to high quality, college preparatory education. We prepare our students to enter and succeed in college through effort, achievement and the content of their character.

We are looking for future Elementary and Middle School Principal Fellows who can inspire students, who put excellence ahead of easy, and who project urgency about closing the opportunity gap. These school leaders are fearless about making decisions and conducting difficult conversations; and will cultivate learning communities that are simultaneously academically rigorous and joyful. A school leader that is self-reflective, open to feedback, and committed to continuously improving.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, these Fellows will participate in a robust 11-month fellowship with the goal of becoming a school principal. This includes setting the vision for school culture and academics; designing and implementing a rigorous coaching plan for teachers; and leading the leadership team to ensure that students graduate career and college ready.

At least 4 years of teaching experience in an urban setting with exemplary results.
At least 1 year of leading or coaching teachers.
Bachelor’s degree is required.

Throughout the fellowship, Fellows will receive customized coaching and feedback from the CEO and Managing Director. The Fellowship is based on a foundation of six core elements that are aligned to the competencies of ReGeneration leaders. Each element is designed to build Fellows’ capacity towards becoming effective instructional school leaders. These include the following:

Immersion in a ReGeneration School;
Evaluation and Feedback;
Professional Development (Cultural Leadership and Management, Instructional Leadership);
Reading and Discussion Groups;
School Startup Preparation; and
School Visits.

High expectations on personal and team performance.
Flexible to changing priorities and conditions.
Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
Belief and alignment with ReGeneration’s core beliefs and educational philosophy.
Experience using data to lead others towards the improvement of student outcomes.
Reflective about personal strengths and weaknesses and able to effectively balance confidence with humility.
