ReGeneration Schools is a nonprofit school management organization that revitalize schools through a college prep and character mission. We manage three K-8 elementary Chicago International Charter Schools (CICS) on the south-side of Chicago, IL: CICS Avalon, CICS Basil, and CICS Washington Park, and are opening our first Cincinnati school in Fall 2019. ReGeneration currently serves over 1,600 low-income students, with over 93% of our students identifying as African-American. We are dedicated to closing the achievement gap because we believe the only way for our society to build a better democracy is by rebuilding America’s schools.
Reporting to the Director of Talent, we are looking for a Recruiter to find great educators for our K-8 elementary schools. The Recruiter plays a critical role in finding high quality, mission-aligned teachers and support personnel to join our school teams. This individual will work closely with school leaders in managing and guiding quality candidates through our selection and hiring process. This individual should have reliable transportation to attend various recruitment events locally and nationally.
Screen, interview, and coordinate immersion day interviews with quality candidates.
Manage recruitment outreach (post and maintain job listings, attend recruitment events and job fairs, advertisements, social media, college tour/informational).
Assist in implement strategies to generate applications from qualified candidates.
Meet individual and team goals for volume and quality.
Manage communications and application process using TalentEd (talent management tool).
Draft and maintain job descriptions.
Assist in coordinating logistic details for recruitment events.
Assist with all marketing initiatives for recruitment (brochures, flyers, social media, etc.).
Other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required.
1-3 years of experience in a school or community based organization ideally in an urban setting.
Previous teaching experience preferred (AmeriCorps or enrichment teaching experience considered).
Self-directed and results-oriented.
Outstanding communicator and writer; able to make the case for the importance of high-quality teachers for low-income children, and of the attractiveness of urban teaching as a career.
Outstanding professional demeanor and customer service skills.
Strong organization, follow-up, and information management skills, including Excel and talent management software proficiency.
Values diversity of thought, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Flexibility to work events on weekends.
Demonstrate ability to be self-directed and take initiative, required.
Reliable transportation for travel to campuses and recruitment events.
