INCS Statement on the Governor’s Veto of HB 768
“The Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) applauds Governor Rauner for vetoing House Bill 768 today, which would have essentially eliminated the Illinois State Charter School Commission. The Commission plays a critical role in ensuring Illinois families have access to high-quality public school options. In practice, the Commission allows skilled educators and community members the opportunity to open new and innovative school models. INCS will work with our partners in Springfield to ensure the veto is upheld.”
